identifying the transdisciplinary relation models of the iranian library and information science journal articles(l994-2004)

five library and information science core journals had published 679 papers during io-year period(1373-1382 h.), which contain 7234 citations. the purpose of this study is to identify the tran disciplinary relation models of this journal articles during the ten years, also try to explore the most cited sources, the prominent language of citations and to compare the number of cited translated sources. citation analysis had been used to analyze the 7234 citations. findings show the variable transdisciplinary relation model of library and information science during the ten years. 277% of the whole citations belonged to the other disciplines, computer science was the first most cited discipline, education and sociology were the second and third most cited disciplines by the lis article during the period. in addition, the most number of transdisciplinary citation by lis articles has occurred in 1380. books were cited much more than other types of information resources. the prominent language was farsi, and written sources been cited more than translated ones.
